Science for Everyone. Service “Beyond Our Walls.”

Exploration Summit is a science and technology museum for everyone.

People of every faith, background, worldview, and belief are welcome here. Our visitors, employees, volunteers, partners, and sponsors are not expected to share a particular religious or political belief in order to belong at Exploration Summit.

Our museum experiences are centered on STEAM: science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Our exhibits and educational programs are built around established, evidence-based science and are designed to encourage curiosity, discovery, experimentation, and lifelong learning. Exploration Summit is not intended to use its exhibits or educational experiences as a platform to promote a particular religious or philosophical viewpoint.

We believe curiosity belongs to everyone.

Why “Beyond the Museum?”

While Exploration Summit itself is not a religious organization, the Christian faith of our founder has deeply influenced the values behind our desire to make an impact beyond the experiences we create inside the museum.

She believed every person is created by God with purpose, dignity, and extraordinary potential. For her, that belief created a responsibility to care about people.

Her faith called her toward generosity, compassion, service, integrity, and care for people who may be vulnerable, overlooked, or facing difficult circumstances. Those values have shaped how Exploration Summit treats its employees, serves its community, uses its resources, and measures success.

Using Success to Serve Others

Exploration Summit dedicates 10% of its proceeds to supporting local and international mission and service work.

These funds help trusted organizations provide things such as food, shelter, education, protection, family support, and assistance to people in need. Some of the organizations we support are Christian ministries whose work also includes spiritual care.

Our support of Christian mission work reflects the foundation of faith and values that frame our giving. It does not change our commitment to making Exploration Summit itself a place where people of every faith and worldview are welcomed, respected, and valued.

Encouraging a Culture of Service

Exploration Summit also provides mission and service scholarships to help employees who choose to participate in opportunities to serve others.

One inspiration for this program comes from James 1:27 and its call to care for widows and orphans in distress. These scholarships are intended to remove financial barriers for team members who want to spend time serving alongside organizations supporting widows, orphans, foster children, vulnerable families, and others in need.

Participation is voluntary and there is no prerequisite of a religious affiliation to participate. An employee's religious beliefs, or lack of religious beliefs, do not determine whether they belong at Exploration Summit, and participation in such activities is not an expectation of employment.

We simply want to make it easier for people who feel called to serve others to do so.

A Museum for All. A Commitment to Do Good.

We want Exploration Summit to be known first as an extraordinary place where kids ages 0–99 can explore science and technology together.

For us, Christian faith is part of the reason we feel called to serve generously and treat our employees with love and respect. It is never a test for who is welcome here.

We hope and pray the good created within the Exploration Summit walls extends into our employee’s families, our communities, our nation, and our world.
